Join us for First Friday, February 3, 5-7pm with Artist, Hannah Rosenkrans, and music by Pepper Kit.Hannah grew up in south central Alaska near the Wrangell Mountains and is currently Anchorage based as a Geologist with the USGS. She started creating art while in college during
summer research projects and mountaineering expeditions as an experiment to see what it could turn into. From there it became a fun way to share and remember experiences. Most of her art is of mountainous landscapes, aerial patterns of rivers and valleys, and field sketches of peaks and ridgelines. Hannah mostly uses pen and pencil in her drawings with coffee often making it onto the field sketches in place of watercolors. @ridgeline.art
Pepper Kit has been creating music for the last three years in Anchorage. Her sound is at once familiar and new, capturing raw emotion and packaging it into relatable lyrics and clear, haunting vocals. She draws her inspiration from fellow artists Julien Baker and Frightened Rabbit. She just released a music video/short film Not So Very Merry on YouTube.
