First-Ever Swing in the Sky!

Spend a summer evening dancing above the streets of Chicago at one of the city's most unique rooftop venues! Join us on the roof of the Lakeshore Sport & Fitness Club for two hours of FREE open swing dancing, along with a free 45-minute beginner lesson beforehand—no experience or partner required.
Our dance floor sits atop legendary architect Kisho Kurokawa's remarkable design -- his only one in the US! -- a hidden urban oasis unlike anywhere else in Chicago. Although you're only about five stories above the street, the surrounding skyscrapers tower overhead, creating the feeling of standing in a serene Japanese rock garden nestled among giants—exactly the immersive experience Kurokawa envisioned as an homage to Chicago's important place in modern architectural history.
After the dancing, everyone is welcome to take a short walk over to one of the city's best vantage points for Chicago's spectacular weekly Navy Pier fireworks, capping off an unforgettable evening of music, movement, architecture, and views.

Water provided by Lakeshore Sport & Fitness, though feel free to bring your own if you'd prefer. Similar to other outdoor venues, note that this is a stone floor we'll be dancing on. Plenty of public transit options to get you there, but if you're driving, we recommend using the SpotHero app (nearby spots that usually have great rates are the Aon Center, Fairmont Hotel, and Park Millennium condo building).
Message us if you have questions! We'll see you then!
