The writing process is often solitary, with lots of hours spent hunched over a keyboard or a notebook. But there comes a point when it's time to share your work with the world and get feedback, and this is the perfect opportunity!
Join celebrated memoirist Nishta Mehra for this in-person session to review your work and participate in a friendly critique. This event is for beginners and experts alike, so join us, meet new writing friends, and get the support you need to elevate your work!
NISHTA MEHRA was raised among a tight-knit network of Indian immigrants in Memphis, Tennessee. As a result, she has very strong opinions about both hot tea and pork barbecue, and she is a damn fine cook. She holds a B.A. in Religious Studies from Rice University and an M.F.A in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona. She is the author of two essay collections–The Pomegranate King and Brown White Black–and currently at work on a third. In her writing, Mehra explores with honesty and curiosity her experiences as a queer woman, first-generation American, adoptive parent, and human of conscience on this fragile planet.
