Join Student Life at York University’s Markham Campus for an immersive “day in the life” experience designed for incoming first-year students. This program offers a realistic preview of university life, helping students build familiarity with campus, connect with peers, and feel more confident ahead of the semester.
Throughout the day, students will participate in structured activities including icebreakers, guided campus exploration, and introductions to key student resources and services. These sessions are designed to help students navigate the campus environment and understand where to access academic and personal support when needed.
Students will also attend mock lectures that simulate the university classroom experience, followed by time to connect over lunch and informal conversation. The day is designed to foster community, reduce uncertainty, and provide a supportive introduction to life at YorkU Markham.
