You may notice an adjustment to the name of our Monday evening gathering. Here is some of the language we are learning:
Centering Prayer is the method we employ for preparing the body, mind, and spirit to turn toward God alone in silence and rest in God’s presence.
(We also give some time to intercessory prayer when we gather.)
Contemplative Prayer refers to what takes place in the silence deep within us as Christ, The Living Word, speaks to us (rather than the other way round) healing, transforming, and bringing us closer to the life the Creator intended for us.
Contemplative Spirituality is a term that gathers up all of our reflections and practices as we seek to grow in the awareness that God is present within us and among us, everywhere, all the time, as Christ dwells in us and we in him.
