What a joy it will be to celebrate our Blessed Mother at the first Children’s Mass of the year! The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, celebrated on August 15th, is a significant feast day in the Catholic Church. It commemorates the belief that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was taken up, body and soul, into heaven at the conclusion of her earthly life.
