First Annual EPIC Color Run: A Healthy Habits Event - Edmond

EPIC Families,

Join us for EPIC's first ever Healthy Habits Color Run on Friday, May 10th at Mitch Park in Edmond! Choose to particpate in the 5k Color Run or 1 mile Fun Run/Walk. This is a FREE event for Epic students and families, and is going to be a blast... of color! Students who register by Friday, April 19th will receive a FREE EPIC Color Run t-shirt for participating! The party doesn't end there! Vendors will be on site for added fun.

Spectators are encouraged to bring colorful signs and noise makers to cheer on our students! Teachers, Parents, Guardians, Friends - Come add to the fun by cheering on our EPIC students!

CHECK-IN PROCEDURE: Upon arrival, please check in with an Epic staff member who will be in Epic gear. Students who register prior to April 19th will be able to pick up their Color Run t-shirt at the registration table. For all other students, parents, and spectators, we’d love to see you in your Epic gear!

ITINERARY:

• 9:30-10:00 - Check In & T-Shirt Pick Up
• 10:00 - Let the Race Begin!
• 10:00-12:00 - Race & Vendors
• 12:00-12:30 Vendors
• 12:30 Conclusion of Color Run

POLICIES: You will register for a ticket using Eventbrite which will hold your spot for the Color Run as a reservation. Parents, please register yourself and each of your Epic students who will be participating. This enables the school and the location to staff and plan appropriately. Our events do have a maximum capacity. Therefore, we ask that when registering your students, you only register Epic enrolled Pre-K through 12th grade students so that the spots are filled by our students.

Students cannot be dropped off to attend an event without a parent or guardian. You will need your student’s Epic ID number and teacher’s name when signing up for the Color Run in Eventbrite.

MEDIA: This is a public event, and photographs and or video may be taken during the activity. If you would prefer that your student not be photographed or videoed, please let our Epic staff know during check in.

SENSORY BAGS: Sensory bags will be available to check out for use at this event. Upon arrival, see any Epic Family Engagement team member to check a bag out and return all sensory bags to an Epic Family Engagement team member before leaving the event. There is a limited supply of sensory bags.

CANCELLATIONS:

How do I cancel my family's reservation? To cancel the reservation and allow other students to attend in those spots, you will go to the email sent from Eventbrite with the subject line: Your Tickets for the First Annual EPIC Color Run: A Healthy Habits Event - Edmond. Then, scroll to the bottom of the email and click the words "View and Manage your online order." Follow the prompts to cancel your order. This will open up spots for other families and is very important, as the location needs accurate numbers before we arrive.

Inclement Weather Plan: If we have inclement weather, we will send out communication by email through Eventbrite to let you know if the field trip has been canceled.
