It is finally here, the ECSIUT first Pow Wow Event on April 23rd of 2022 at Hagood Mill in Pickens, South Carolina. A Pow Wow is a celebration of American Indian culture in which people from diverse indigenous nations gather for the purpose of dancing, singing, and honoring the traditions of their ancestors. This event is meant to bring together tribal members and also members of the community to enjoy and learn. There will be Native American singing, dancing, drumming, and storytelling. Camping will be available on site for all vendors on Friday night. Admission is $5 for adults and children 10 and under receive free entry. We will have vendors selling a variety of goods. A petroglyph site will be available as well for added fun. We look forward to seeing you at our 1st Annual event!
