First Aid Essentials

There are both theoretical and practical elements to the session including assisting a choking casualty, placing a casualty in the recovery position and using an AED.

Upon completion a certificate which is valid for 1 year will be presented.

Course Content:

· The role and responsibilities of a first aider

· Assessing an incident / Managing an unresponsive casualty

· Basic Life Support – CPR use of AED / recovery position

· Drowning & hypothermia

· Wounds, bleeding and burns

· Choking
