First Aid / CPR / AED - Basic Level
About this Event
Under Ontario’s Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) Regulation 1101, all workplaces must have trained first aid providers on site at all times. Employers are responsible for ensuring that an adequate number of employees are certified in First Aid and CPR through a WSIB-recognized training provider.
This WSIB-compliant First Aid / CPR / AED – Basic Level course meets Ontario workplace first aid requirements while providing practical, hands-on training designed to build confidence and readiness for real emergencies.
Ideal for security professionals, property staff, supervisors, event staff, and other workplace personnel, the course focuses on the essential skills needed to recognize an emergency, provide immediate care, and support a patient until additional help arrives.
Participants will learn how to:
- Respond to common workplace medical emergencies and injuries
- Perform high-quality CPR and use an AED safely and effectively
- Recognize and respond to choking and other breathing emergencies
- Control serious bleeding and recognize signs of shock
