Join us for an inspirational and honest conversation with Alice Dearing, an accomplished open-water Olympic marathon swimmer who’s made her mark as the first Black woman to represent Great Britain at the Olympics Games.
Her journey has led her to become one of sports most prominent voices for diversity and representation as she uses her voice to amplify the message that sport is for all.
In this 30-minute chat, Alice will share her experiences from the world of swimming, from the moments that made her love the sport, to the times when it was tough to keep going. The session will conclude with a 20 minute Q&A where the audience will be able to ask anything which has come to mind during the talk or get those training and nutrition tips you'd love to hear from an Olympic athlete.
What to Expect
Career Reflections: Alice will talk about the significant moments in her swimming career, from the great experiences and becoming an Olympian.
Mentality & Motivation: How to manage expectations, staying motivated and dealing with setbacks.
