Join us for an enlightening event moderated by our very own Executive Director of Cultural Affairs María Carla Chicuén, featuring as special guests singer and songwriter AleMor, Poet Laureate Caridad Moro-Gronlier, renowned photographer and Guggenheim Fellow Tony Chirinos, journalist Luis Alfonso "Lucho" Borrego and GRAMMY award winner musician Marlow Rosado. This event will spotlight renowned Latinos in the arts and media who are pioneering change and shaping the future through their artistic endeavors. Hear their compelling stories of overcoming obstacles, driving cultural shifts, and making significant contributions to their fields. Engage in conversations about how their work inspires future generations and fosters a deeper understanding of Latino heritage and identity. This fireside chat is an exceptional opportunity for aspiring artists, art enthusiasts, and community members to learn, ask questions, and be inspired by these trailblazing artists.
This event in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month at Miami Dade College will take place on September 30 at Noon at MDC Kendall Campus, and it is open to students, alumni and the community. Light refreshments will be served.
