Firefly Poetry & Open Mic Night sponsored by Speak Resilience is designed to extend the celebration of literary arts for people who otherwise would not have the opportunity to experience the excitement, fulfillment, and indulgence of live arts. This event celebrates 'the unheard'. It is for the moments of peace our world soo desperately needs. It is for every type of person, with every type of artistic need for an outlet; our event is designed to take the pain and joys of life and release an artistic platform and outlet of safety. Join DJ Staxx B, 'The Spot' - Gilly's Sports Bar, and Toseima J (Also known as Speak Resilience) as we embark and explore the poetic art form and celebrate those who revolutionize it.

If you would like to bless the mic or be involved in marketing initiatives, Firefly is launching a TV Show designed around highlighting artists who have what it takes to go to the next level.

There is a specialty drink called 'The Firefly Shot' available for ONLY $5.00 which benefits the Firefly Events Team however, there is no admission fee or fee to perform.

Show up early to get a good seat because the show is only 2 hours.

Bring your positive vibes because this is a 'safe space' for people to share their art and artists as you know are sensitive about our sugar, honey, ice, and tea. ​We 'snap it out' to celebrate each other. We also focus on keeping the environment zenful, relaxing, and entertaining.

Showtime Etiquette - We ask that you keep your voices low as people perform in order to allow the respect and overall experience to transcend in the way it's intended.

We would like to extend a special shoutout of thanks and gratitude to Gilly's Sports Bar for allowing us the wonderful, collaborative experience of this partnership for over 2 years of poetic vibes! Our first event was on September 9th, 2020.

Please Note: This event is ABSOLUTELY free to the public! We have now added a request for a cell phone number for each attendee. By registering, you automatically agree to receive information relative to Firefly Events and the CAI Business Group Brand. The event is held once per month and our goal is to send you a text reminder so that when you register, we can remind you as the event draws near. All the information we request simply allows us to offer additional information about future events, opportunities for raffles, etc. Please keep in mind, this event is currently in person only. I understand that there will be no compensation for this usage unless otherwise stated in a separate contractual obligation. CAI Business Group has my permission to use photographs, video, likeness, and voice recordings in company newsletters, brochures, in-house video presentations, television news programs, film, and video festivals, on the internet and any other media, to promote CAI Business Group and original works in development.
