Hosted by Rebecca Marquardt and AnnaJane Edmonds and featuring a lineup of special comedy guest stars, this Comedy Café is packed with laughter and fresh perspectives from some of the best female and non-binary comedians, storytellers, and performers in Los Angeles.
It's the perfect chance to relax, reconnect, and celebrate with the Firecracker community in a welcoming, supportive space. Whether you're a longtime fan or discovering us for the first time, this event is not to be missed—reserve your spot and get ready to laugh! And be sure to stick around after the show to mix and mingle, our goal is to build community here in Los Angeles.
Firecracker Department started as a podcast and swiftly became a community of women and non-binary artists coming together to support each other to take creative action!
Our lineup:
Christina Anthony is a Los Angeles-based writer, comedian, and actor. She has studied at UCB, The Groundlings, Howard Fine Acting Studio (Los Angeles), The Second City (Chicago), and Magnet Theater (NYC). See more of her work at www.christinavanthony.com.
Sam Ciavarella: New Jersey native and vocal sensation, Sam Ciavarella is an actor who hits ALL the high notes! Vocal nodes have never stopped her and they won't stop her tonight. Brace yourself, she's gonna BELT!
Jenna Bryce Shaw is just a girl from Orange County who now lives in LA. She has a 15-year-old pug named Arlene and needs to pick up her EpiPen.
Mariel Sena is a comedian, improviser, and clown who most enjoys making the audience their scene partner. They have studied performance in various forms from UCB, Groundlings, The Elysian, The Pack, and WGIS, and can be found performing improv with The Sitch and musical improv with their collective, Plush Pony. They are developing their one person show, Most Woke Woman, and producing Allison Dayne’s Edinburgh bound show, Confessions of a Sugar Baby.
Renée Percy has appeared on NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, Nickelodeon, Disney, FX, and Comedy Central, on shows like JIMMY KIMMEL, COMICS UNLEASHED, in the Netflix is a Joke comedy festival, and alongside Jim Jefferies in the upcoming Australian-shot special Jim Jefferies and Friends. She’s performed her sharp, quirky brand of stand-up in over 20 countries (including regular tours for the troops), starred in over 70 national commercials, and is only one stamp short of a free yogurt at Pinkberry!
Sylvie Wang is a writer/comedian/performer from Queens who is now based in Los Angeles. She is a contributing writer for such publications as Reductress and The New Yorker. She studied and improvised at UCB NY, and has performed on Asian AF and ASSSCAT. She is a recent recipient of the Groundlings SNL Diversity Scholarship, and was a finalist for the Yes And Laughter Lab Fellowship. She currently teaches improv at UCB in LA. Ultimately she is just a silly gal who likes to get big money laughs.
Lexy May O’Donnell is an Australian actor living in LA. She will be performing a one woman show about a runaway bride called For Better or For Worse at The Broadwater on July 26th.

AnnaJane (AJ) Edmonds is an award-winning producer, director and actor working in Los Angeles and Toronto with over 15 years of experience in the live-action film, documentary, and commercial industry. She began performing at the age of 7 on stage as the Barrister Munchkin and has been chasing the thrill of that role ever since. She has appeared in feature films and shorts, as well as commercials across Canada and USA.
Rebecca Marquardt is an actor, filmmaker, and musician from Texas who studied improv, comedy, and every other subject she could cover in Chicago (Second City, iO, The Annoyance). She toured the country as the emcee of Odd Squad, LIVE!, based on the Emmy-winning PBS show for kids and her a cappella covers on a looper have millions of views online. Her debut short film Boifriend (2023) won several awards and played at over 15 film festivals.
