Firearms Research Center presents “Natural Rights, Regulation, and the Post-Bruen Second Amendment"
About this Event

Join Us for the 2026 Fall Conference: “Natural Rights, Regulation, and the Post-Bruen Second Amendment” on October 15th and 16th in Washington, D.C. at the Georgetown Law School.

The University of Wyoming Firearms Research Center (FRC), Georgetown Center for the Constitution (GCC), and Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy (HJLPP) will host a symposium exploring the evolving landscape of Second Amendment jurisprudence.

The Supreme Court’s landmark decision in Bruen has fundamentally reshaped the debate over how to protect our fundamental rights while allowing for public regulation. At this exclusive event, we will dive deeply into the critical line between legitimate regulatory measures and unconstitutional infringements on the right to keep and bear arms.

Through engaging panels, attendees will unpack the historical, doctrinal, and philosophical dimensions of the Second Amendment, guided by recent and forthcoming cases like Rahimi, Wolford, and Hemani.

The in-person and online event takes place across two days on Thursday, October 15, with a foundational fireside chat and continuing on Friday, October 16, with a three panel series.

Hear from a distinguished lineup of leading legal, historical, and philosophical voices as they tackle the most pressing questions surrounding the scope of our rights:
