Teatro Real – Royal Theater of Spain is embarking on a tour of the United States and making its Miami debut at the Arsht. The program will include Joaquín Rodrigo’s famous Concierto de Aranjuez, a cornerstone of the guitar repertoire, performed by master guitarist Juan Manuel Cañizares. Music by Spanish composer Manuel de Falla will also be featured, including selections from the suite El amor brujo and Siete canciones populares españolas, featuring the exuberant voice of soprano Gabriella Reyes.
Finally, Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov’s legendary Scheherazade brings the program to a close, with the Orchestra of Teatro Real playing a key role. It’s an unforgettable evening of music conducted by Maestro Gustavo Gimeno, principal conductor of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and Teatro Real.
