Schedule

UTC-06:00Location
mckinney fire station | Mckinney, TX
During this visit, firefighters will share how a fire station operates day to day, how emergency response works, and what they want the public to know about safety and preparedness. Depending on availability, the visit may also include basic fire safety education and an overview of everyday emergency skills such as fire extinguisher use and hands-only CPR.
This experience is designed to be educational, calm, and confidence-building โ no prior knowledge required. Youโre welcome to observe or participate at your comfort level.
๐ Important to Know
Fire crews remain on active duty during our visit and may be called away to respond to an emergency at any time.
This is part of the reality of how our community works and something we fully respect and appreciate.
Because this is a live, working fire station and a limited-capacity educational experience, if the crew is called out and we are unable to complete at least half of the expected tour, a credit will be issued that can be used toward a future Behind the Scenes of Our Community event.
Location: Fire Station 1301 N. McDonald St.
Group Size: Limited to 11 participants
Parking instructions and arrival details will be sent to registered participants.
๐ About the Series
Behind the Scenes of Our Community is an ongoing series that offers adults a closer look at how essential local systems work โ from emergency response and public safety to utilities, infrastructure, and preparedness. Each event stands on its own, and participants are welcome to attend any session that sparks their curiosity.
