Train the Trainer (1 Day Classroom Course)
This Train the Trainer course equips learners with the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to deliver effective Fire Safety training within healthcare and social care settings.
Designed for experienced professionals, this course enables you to train others in fire prevention, emergency response, and safe practices, ensuring compliance and safety within your organisation.

👩⚕️ Learner Entry Requirements
To enrol, learners should:
✔ Hold (or be working towards) a Level 3 qualification or above
✔ Be working in a senior role
✔ Have at least 2 years’ experience in a care or healthcare setting
✔ Be physically able to participate in practical activities
✔ Previous Fire Safety training is beneficial but not essential
We recommend working towards a Level 3 Award in Education & Training, although this is not mandatory.
🎓 Accreditation
This course is externally accredited by the CPD Assessed Organisation.
📝 Assessment Methods
This course is internally assessed and includes:
- Pre-course preparation (sent 7–14 days prior)
- Practical demonstrations and fire safety scenarios
- Peer observations
- A 10-minute theory and practical micro-teach assessment
📚 Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Explain your own responsibilities and those of your employer in relation to fire safety legislation, workplace requirements, and organisational policies and procedures
- Understand how fires start and spread, and identify practical measures to reduce fire risks in both workplace and home environments
- Describe the correct actions to take in the event of a fire, including raising the alarm, evacuation procedures, escape routes, and assembly points
- Identify and select the appropriate fire extinguisher for different classes of fire
- Explain the purpose of Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) and how to follow them to support individuals requiring assistance
- Demonstrate the safe and effective use of fire extinguishers
- Confidently deliver engaging Fire Safety training sessions within your workplace

Travel and Parking:
Our training premises are located by the Jewellery Quarter Train Station which is a 5-minute walk to Hylton Street.
There are various car parks available in the Jewellery Quarter and you can download the apps Ring Go or Parkopedia which will show you available car parking and cost in the area. (Average Parking Cost is £5.50 per day)
