Design, Compliance and the Building Safety Act
About this Event

Join us for this Live Event where we will be exploring fire safety in relation to the building envelope and the legislation of the Building Safety Act.

This live CPD explores how fire strategy must now be considered across the entire building envelope – not as isolated products or individual systems, but as interconnected assemblies where roofs, walls, insulation, cavities, façades and glazed elements all influence overall building performance and compliance.

The Building Safety Act has fundamentally changed how architects, consultants and manufacturers approach fire safety, accountability and risk within the built environment.

The evening is intended to provide practical, regulation-led insight for architects working across residential, commercial, education and mixed-use sectors.

The event will cover:

• Fire propagation risk within the external envelope

• Junctions and interface detailing between systems

• Compartmentation and continuity of fire performance

• Tested versus assumed performance

• The difference between product certification and system compliance

• Responsibilities under the Building Safety Act and Building Regulations

• The evolving role of architects within multidisciplinary fire coordination

Speakers:

RBG Facades – Craig Winstanley

Tenmat – Adam Taylor / Charles McIntyre

OFR Consultants – Jamie Clark – Senior Fire
