About this Event
Chuck Ferrell and his family have suffered a devastating fire on the night of October 23rd. Their home is uninhabitable for the foreseeable future and most of their possessions are damaged or destroyed. His Daughter Cassie lost EVERYTHING, as the fire started in her room. Chuck has also lost many of the tools of his trade. Electronics, microphones and computer equipment have been damaged by smoke and soot. Even clothing and furniture that wasn't burned or destroyed by water, have to be replaced because they are stained with soot and ash and heavy with the smell of smoke that just doesn't come out. Insurance will help replace some things and restore the home, but it takes time and there are immediate needs to be met. They are currently being moved from their temporary hotel accommodations to a more long term living arrangement while their home is being repaired, but they have to put security deposits down on the new space and rented furniture that total into the thousands. They will get it back when they move back into their home, but that's a huge burden for the family right now.We are here to help! On Sunday, November 23rd, we are bringing together our friends, many of whom are also musicians, for a benefit concert to help raise money for the family to meet some of these immediate needs and get them back on their feet. Some of you Might remember that Mobtown Ballroom hosted our CD release party back in 2023 and they now have a beautiful new location on W. North Ave in the Arts District. They have been kind enough to open up their space for us to hold this event. Food and Drinks will be available for purchase. Several Musicians have already signed up to offer their talents, including Charlie Owen and Pocket Change, Damon Foreman and Ricky Wise, and of course The Gayle Harrod Band! (Chuck is our Drumer!) Schedule will be added soon. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and Silent auction, so we are looking or some folks to Donate some items for that and to volunteer to man tables and sell tickets. If you and your band would like to play, we may have room for one or two more short sets, so please reach out if interested in any of the above. Street parking and nearby paid garage available. Doors oopen at 2:30 pm. All ages with parent or guardian. If you can't make it to the Benefit, there is also a Go Fund Me set up for the Family that you can donate to. Thanks to all who have done so already! https://gofund.me/2d8f0a61b
