Fire Ecology Hike

Join us for a Fire Ecology hike on Friday, May 3 from 3 - 5pm. In partnership with Ventura Regional Fire Safe Council, we will educate residents on the importance of active land management for ecological health and wildfire resiliency. We will be sharing the work being done on public lands to cultivate native habitats and lessen wildfire intensity and, therefore, lower the overall impact wildfires have on our lands and communities. We will also inform residents on what they can do to protect themselves and their community (home hardening, Firewise efforts, etc.). We all have a part to play in wildfire preparedness. Please park in the lot, wear comfortable hiking shoes, and bring water and sun protection.
