Fire Cupping

Fire cupping is one of the traditional Chinese medicine modalities used for muscular pain and soreness. Fire cupping is so effective that many pro athletes love to use this treatment to ease their body pain and expedite tissue recovery after their practices and games. Fire cupping has been used to promote healing and improve flexibility through the promotion of blood flow to injured tissues. As the name suggests, a flaming cotton ball is placed inside a glass cup which is quickly placed on the skin, creating a vacuum that will pull on the muscle and fascia.Fire cupping may leave a suction mark on the skin which would disappear naturally over time. The darker the color, the more toxins, and stagnation are present in the area.
