About this Event
The word “Solstice” is derived from the Latin words Sol+systere, meaning “Sun”+ “standing still.”
The Summer Solstice is the longest day and the shortest night of the year. Following this Solstice, the days get shorter, the nights longer.
Bonfires are still lit to celebrate the Sun at its height of power and to ask the Sun not to withdraw into winter darkness.
Fire Ceremony allows us to source from our soul and to re-remember how we have sat around sacred fires throughout time.
Any time you feel “blocked”, or are working on what you want to dream into your life fire is an incredible tool to help you change and shift.
WHAT HAPPENS IN A FIRE CEREMONY?
Here we will intentionally open Sacred Space and build the fire together, and as we chant, drum and shake our rattles, I invite you to burn bits of paper -- we will one by one give our offerings to the fire of what we are letting go of, and what we are calling in during these potent times.
We will hold space for each other, in ceremony.
I also invite you to give a gift to the fire: a twig, flower, or herb.
I will draw an oracle card for each of you and you will meditate with this card to gain further insight whilst I drum.
WHERE?
We will meet at Wendover Woods. BBQ 1 is positioned in a small woodland area 50m from the car park and is wheel chair friendly.
Parking fees apply for the duration of your visit/event and are charged separately.
WHAT TO BRING?
The weather should be warm, bring plenty drinking water, yoga mat, a pad & crayon. A drum if you have one.
Anything that makes you comfortable outdoors. lawn chairs/blankets/etc.
I look forward to see you.
