Fire & Dust: Cathi Rae at Cafe Morso!

[In-person event. You ONLY need a ticket if you want a guaranteed open mic slot. No ticket required to attend as audience. ]

Fire & Dust is a monthly poetry open mic event. All welcome - poets, spoken word artists, slammers, MCs, story-tellers and anyone happy to listen to some poetry. The gig will start around 8PM.

There are open mic slots available (approx. 3 minutes). Please register for a ticket if you can definitely attend and want an open mic slot. There will also be a few slots available on the night for spontaneous sign-up.

Bring friends, bring poems, or just come along for a listen! Take precautions to stay safe and keep others around you safe - respect people's preference to socially distance and (if possible) test for Covid prior to and after the gig.

HEADLINER: CATHI RAE

Cathi Rae is an award-winning and widely published poet and spoken word artist. She has been described as "a spoken word icon" by Joelle Taylor... something she is trying hard to live up to. Her work is rooted in the everyday experiences of ordinary working people, using everyday language to give a voice to lives who don't get poetry written about them. She also likes poems about dogs! Her collection "Your cleaner hates you and other poems" will be available to buy on the night.
