The Institute, 15 Bocking End, Braintree, United Kingdom, CM7 9AE | Braintree, EN
An excellent 5-piece band will perform thirty classic songs from this golden era including ‘You’ve got a Friend’, ‘You make me feel like a natural woman’, ‘American Pie’, ‘Fire and Rain’, ‘Big Yellow Taxi’, ‘River’, Starry Starry Night’, ‘Horse with no Name’, ’Mrs Robinson’, ‘Make it with you’, ‘Feelin’ Groovy’, ‘California Dreaming’, ‘You’re So Vain’ and ‘Woodstock’!
The show has a relaxed acoustic style, matching the spirit of this era when many of these artists were neighbours in the Laurel Canyon suburb of L.A. With an intimate nostalgic narrative including images, the show is sometimes poignant, sometimes funny, always delightful.
Produced and Hosted by Singer-guitarist Paul Wheeler (TV Director, 'Live at the Apollo') with Sophie Langham (West-End actress-singer and formerly Eastenders).

Paul Wheeler is perhaps better known in the world of TV comedy as Director of award-winning TV shows such as ‘Live at the Apollo’ and ‘Have I got News for You’.
Outside the world of Television, Paul is an accomplished guitarist and singer-songwriter playing at intimate venues around UK and Europe. Recent appearances include the Edinburgh Fringe, Brighton Fringe and many festivals with many bands. His relaxed acoustic soul and contemporary folk style has often been compared to James Taylor and Paul Simon.
Sophie Langham has been a West-end singer-actress for many years and starred in Eastenders on BBC TV. Her powerful yet poignant voice embraces many genres, lending itself perfectly to the many female vocal legends featured in this show.
