So, you've never been to a Finnegan's Wake? Now's your chance! After a long hiatus, we're finally back.
In celebration of Half Way to St. Patrick's Day, Cass Township Jeremiah Riley Division #3 Ancient Order of Hibernians and Actors Guild of Schuylkill County are teaming up for a revival re-enactment of the infamous live street theater event, Finnegan's Wake.
The Finnegan's Wake re-enactment will accept voluntary donations to benefit the 2026 Pottsville Parade.
All those planning to join the Funeral Procession and the Wake should assemble in the parking lot adjacent to the Crimson House on Saturday, September 27, 2025, by 2 pm to organize.
We invite any and all former Finnegan's Wakers from Clover Irish Weekend or Heritage Day Wakes (2006 to 2014-ish ? ) to join us for the shenanigans. So many memories!
The Finnegan's Wake procession will kick off promptly at 2:15 PM. Processioners will follow the Casket as it makes its way from the Crimson House Parking Lot back to the Crimson House for the formal Wake. Good luck. This won't be as easy as it sounds.
Throw something black on your head and come join the fun!
Refreshments will be available for purchase at the Crimson House.
