Finishing 101

In this class you will have a comprehensive crash course in all things finishing. From spray finishes to brush on lacquers, how to treat wood and how to remove stains this class will give you a broad overview and understanding of many different facets of the finishing world. This class will go over the difference between water and oil stains, what pre-stain is, and why you should use it. As well as the way different stains react to different woods. All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions apply. Students should come properly attired for a woodworking class (tight fitting clothing, long hair restrained and constrained from the face); and bring or wear provided industry standard hearing protection and safety glasses during equipment operation. All woodworking classes are held in a store that sells a wide variety of woods, including exotic woods such as cedar, aromatic cedar and other products (e.g., finishes, cleaners, etc.) that may cause allergic or other reactions in a small number of cases.
