Finding Your Way

This is a practical day, full of fun, real life skills and some creativity.

In the morning, we'll head outside for some hands-on navigation — learning to read a map, follow a route, and find your way with confidence. No experience needed, and no boggy moorland. Just good paths, fresh air, and a few useful skills you'll actually use. The terrain will be moderate (some uneven pathways, some grassy or a bit muddy, some small hills) but we'll always walk at the pace of the group and take lots of stops.

After lunch, we'll move indoors. Using the same thinking that helps you navigate terrain — orienting yourself, identifying landmarks, choosing a direction — we'll turn our attention to life planning. You'll finish the day having created your own vision board: a personal map for where you want to go and what matters most along the way.

This is for you if you're craving a bit of direction, want to get outside and think differently, or are ready to approach life's bigger questions with a fresh perspective — and a good pair of walking shoes.

The morning session involves around two hours of walking on uneven terrain. You don't need to be particularly fit, but please wear suitable footwear and clothing and be comfortable on rough ground. There are likely to be stiles along the route. The afternoon session is indoors. You will need to bring your own packed lunch.
