Finding Your Voice - Songwriting Workshop with MIRI
About this Event
As part of the ‘Made in the East End’ programme at Oxford House, this collaborative songwriting workshop celebrates the legacy of politically engaged writing and creative activism in East London since the 1970s.
Led by Artivist, vocalist, songwriter and facilitator MIRI, participants will explore how songwriting can be used as a tool for expression, connection, resistance and collective voice.
Whether you are an experienced musician, occasional songwriter, poet, performer, or completely new to creative writing, this workshop invites everyone to contribute in their own way.
Through collaborative exercises, discussion and improvisation, the group will work towards creating an original collective song together.
The workshop will take place in the Oxford House 'Secret Chapel'.
Participants are welcome to bring instruments and jam along during the session.
