Finding Your Voice Oral Storytelling Workshop

Having stories to hand, whether they are myths or folk tales, stories from history or science or your own personal stories, deepens and enlivens our communication. This is true in our own personal lives, as well as in the spheres of education, healing, entertainment or activism...you name it!

Sally Pomme Clayton has been telling stories for more than 35 years and has distilled her long practice into '24 Story Seeds', narrative seeds that exist inside traditional stories that can guide the teller and help shape their performance. These seeds range from story genre to hidden rhythm, from structure and ways of using sound, to finding characters and developing dialogue. The '24 Story Seeds' are just waiting for storytellers to find them.

In this creative and practical workshop, Pomme will explore some of the seeds with you, using: writing; telling; improvisation; visualisation; movement; drawing; sound; discussion and sharing.
