About this Event

FREE Workshops for multicultural communities In English*.

In a land full of voices, colors, and stories, it’s easy to feel unheard or unseen. If you’ve ever felt disconnected while settling into a new culture, know this: your journey matters, and you are not alone.

👉Are you new in Australia or have been here for several years but want to expand your network?

👉Are you struggling to adapt to this new place or are struggling to find your place in Australia (job, friends, etc)?

👉Have you asked yourself if you are the only one feeling this way?

💡that is the case, this workshop is for you!


Come and connect with other migrants and explore how you can feel you belong.

  • The workshops are in different places so you can join the one more convenient for you.
  • The workshop is FREE but there is a refundable $5.00 * booking fee.
  • Workshops are from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm (lunch included).


📅WHEN AND WHERE:

  • 22 August - Carlton - Kathleen Syme Library and Community Centre
  • 5 September - Prahran - Grattan Gardens Community Centre
  • 19 September - Brunswick - Balam Balam

Each workshop has limited availability - max 25 participants so book your place as soon as possible.


TOPICS

💬 Identity, Belonging and Cultural Confidence: We’ll explore the journey of adapting to a new country while staying connected to your roots.

🫶 Session 2: Isolation and Resilience. We open a space to talk about loneliness and disconnection, and to find strength and strategies through shared experiences.

🎨 Session 3: Building Community through Culture: Celebrate who you are, where you come from, and how we all part of something bigger that keep us connected.


*Workshops are FREE but there is a booking fee of $5 to plan for material and food. However, if you attend the workshop and are in a difficult situation, we are more than happy to reimburse you on the day of the event. This does not apply if you do not attend the event.

We want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to attend and participate!
