Nick Sheedy brings over 25 years of experience in conducting family history research. As the Lead Genealogist of "Finding Your Roots," Nick has been instrumental in uncovering fascinating stories of ancestry for numerous individuals. His expertise spans a wide range of projects, including general family histories, slave research, unknown parentage, probate cases, and large population studies for genetic medical research.
Nick began his journey with "Finding Your Roots" during Season 2 in 2012 as Associate Genealogist and became Lead Genealogist in February 2020. He works with a team of genealogists, historians, researchers, and producers to make "Finding Your Roots" one of the most beloved programs on Public Television.
A native of the Pacific Northwest, Nick Sheedy and his family reside in the picturesque Flathead Valley of northwestern Montana. His deep connection to the region adds a special resonance to this event, as attendees will have the opportunity to engage with a leading expert with local roots.
