Improv Workshop taught by Alfred Chow! When we first begin improv training, we are told not to argue with our scene partners, as conflict can be detrimental to creating a good scene. In my view, I believe that it is okay to have an argument between characters, as conflict is part of theater. Arguments can help characters connect by creating opportunities for vulnerability, opening the space for real confessions, and truths about each other. In this workshop you’ll learn to how to turn a fight into a fun point of view, use empathy to have a stronger connection with your scene partner, lose the fight temporarily to move the scene forward, and play the relationship out based on the initial dynamic or offer instead of trying to change the relationship. This 2 hour workshop will give you practical tools you can start applying to your improv scenes immediately
