A special needs program for those with physical disabilities, cognitive, developmental and mental health disorders.The creative process in making an art piece offers persons with physical or cognitive challenges the opportunity to further develop skills, interests and competencies across their lives. WHAM offers ongoing studio-based classes staffed by practicing artists who provide support and assistance to the students.
Our WHAM classroom has a wheelchair accessible entrance, located in a quiet area at the art center.
A lunchroom is available for use by those attending the program giving them an opportunity to finish with lunch together (lunch is not provided.) This can be a great outing by taking an art class, having lunch, and viewing the amazing artworks in our gallery and gift shop.
Caretakers, and chaperons are recommended for attendance.
