Art is all around you, with patterns in nature and music in the air! Junior Girl Scouts are invited to come on a guided badge hike with a naturalist and explore nature and the art it inspires. They will view the “Inspired by Endangered Species: Animals and Plants in Fabric Perspectives” quilt exhibit, and then head out into the preserve to find and create art!
Each Junior Girl Scout will complete the necessary requirements for the outdoor art badge and receive a patch at the end of the program.
Fee: Free!
Age: Junior Girl Scouts.
Registration required by Thursday, June 17: 815.722.9470.
Activities will take place on paved and uneven natural surface terrain. The hike will be 1-1.5 miles. Registration is available by phone only. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online (https://www.reconnectwithnature.org/americans-with-disabilities-act-information) no later than 48 hours before the program.
