Find your Village - Caregiver and Community Support: Wausau

Please join WiFCC for a night of intentional connection and community for caregivers. This event is open to adoptive, foster, guardianship, kinship, and reunified caregivers.
This event was planned after considering how many caregivers report feeling isolated or lacking support from friends, community, and an overall feeling that they don't have a true village. WiFCC hopes this event is the first step in identifying others who have a similar journey and understand that parenting children with trauma, grief, and/or loss can be incredibly difficult, particularly while feeling little to no support.
The event will include dinner, facilitated and unstructured socialization, games, and a dedicated tool to help connect those who attend. Soda, lemonade, water, and mocktails will be included. Alcoholic beverages will be available for individual purchase.

Due to the popularity of family events, please let your local WiFCC specialist know ahead of time if there is any reason you can no longer attend or need fewer tickets than you originally signed up for. We would like to accommodate as many families as possible.

Cancellations for events must be made at least 72 hours in advance. If 3 or more late cancellations or no-shows occur within a six-month period, the household’s event registrations in the following six months will default to a waitlist.

This event is limited to Wisconsin residents impacted by adoption or out-of-home care and their immediate household.
