Class Length: One day, 10am - 1pm
Class Description: Find your post-holiday Zen in this relaxing, color-theory based painting workshop! Following warming movement, gentle stretching, and guided breathing, explore the physiological impacts of color and color-blending while depicting your inspired piece using acrylic paint on canvas. This workshop will provide an overview of color theory, color mixing, and color’s relationship to emotions and perception while guiding students in creating a responsive painting. A $5 materials fee has been added to cover all the supplies.
Age Limitations: Ages 14+
Supplies Included: acrylic paint, brushes, canvas, table easel, paper plate for palette, pencil for sketching, informative handout
Optional materials you may wish to bring: paint palette or something to use as a palette, such as a clean Styrofoam egg carton, wide plastic container and/or lid, ice cube tray, mini muffin tin…be creative! A favorite ceramic mug for sipping hot tea (provided) while painting.
