2 Part Class

Part 1 : Saturday, April 27th at Carkeek Park 12pm- 2:30pm

Part 2 : Sunday, April 28th at NW Rockhounds 11am - 2:30pm

Ages: 18 & up

Price: $165

No rock experience needed.

Must be able to walk on uneven ground and climb stairs to get to beach.

PART 1 (Saturday)

Meet at Carkeek Park with a group at 12pm. (You will get an email with directions and specific details a few days before class). The instructor will teach you about some of the materials you can find and show examples of what would be appropriate to cut in part 2 of this class. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water, snacks, and check email before class. This ticket is for 1 person only. Please do not bring children or pets along with.

PART 2 ( Sunday)

Learn the art of cutting and polishing stone! You will learn how to turn your rough stone that you found into a beautiful shaped and polished cabochon ready to be set in jewelry or for your display case. You will learn the tools used to cut stone and get comfortable working with the equipment. This class counts as one of your prerequisites to get to Advanced Lapidary.

Yes. Part 2 you will be working with loud equipment (earplugs are provided).
