Every human has a big dream. The thing that sets their soul on fire. The thing they can’t be without. The thing their heart yearns for. Crazy, thrilling, yet filled with passion, OLIVIA JOY shares her dream with you.

JOY’s music is born from the depths of her soul. It’s raw, real, and fun. Having been influenced by many musicians, including Lauryn Hill, Beyoncé, Aerosmith, and more, JOY’s music encompasses many styles as she enjoys telling a story through her lyrics and instrumentation.

“For me, it’s not about the genre of music, it’s about the story the music tells and what music does for the soul. If I like it, I like it, no matter the genre.”

Born Olivia Joy Bright, raised in the “Queen City” of Charlotte, NC, JOY grew up a girl with big dreams. She exhibited star power from a young age, writing poetry about her life and the world around her, making singing videos with her sisters, and performing for imagined audiences in her parents’ living room. JOY always knew there was a story to be told, a dream to be shared, and a world to share them with.

Our Carolina Superstar's most recent 2024 sounds go a little like: “Heart races, I’m pacin,’ non-linear in my head...” “Breathe,” the heart-warming yet soul-wrenching tune that tugs on our heartstrings with powerful melodies and beautiful understanding. “If I choose to face, then who will I be without pain and no more fracture?” “In the Ring” is a suspenseful, heart-throbbing sound that captures the inner conflict of running or facing. “We Are THE DREAM” is JOY’s most recent 2025 showstopping island vibe that turns listeners into dreamers while they dance their worries away. “Oh, I know it’s hard in a world of scars to feel right, not wrong, but you and I can dream.”

JOY is immensely dedicated to crafting songs from her soul and preparing jaw-dropping performances. She has landed on many stages, including the Home of the Hornets, the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC, the renowned Opry Mills Unplugged stage in Nashville, TN, and opened for well-known comedians, Rob Stapelton and Talent at 275 Park Laffaholics comedy club in Brooklyn, NY.
