Find Your Light: Creative Wellness Experience — Closing Showcase

Join us for the culminating event of Find Your Light, a three-day creative wellness experience led by vocalist, composer, and cultural organizer Valerie Troutt. This special evening features a live showcase from 5:00–6:00 PM, followed by an Artist Talk from 6:00–6:30 PM reflecting on the creative process and collective journey.

The project gathers an intergenerational circle of Black women artists whose practices center healing, creativity, and cultural memory. Participating artists include Audacious, I Am (spoken word), Tammy L. Hall (piano), Ruth Price(drums), Rashida Chase (cultural strategy), Rev. Dr. Valerie Brown-Troutt (visual art & education), Sis Nau-T (martial arts & tai chi), and Sheila Russell (dance).

This public sharing offers a glimpse into the conversations, collaboration, and collective joy cultivated during the three-day gathering. The evening will also feature special appearances by Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist Nnenna Freelon and Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and trans activist Neverending Nina.

Come experience an evening of music, movement, storytelling, and reflection celebrating the brilliance and creative power of Black womyn artists.
