About this Event
Join author, Julie Duffy Dillon, to celebrate the release of the Find Your Food Voice book together! Julie will be joined by her team Rachel and Coleen to discuss the book, the writing process, and what's next! Julie will answer all your questions and there will be time to get your book signed as well.
We hope you can join because only together can we overcome the diet industry. And we will!
About the book:
Are you tired of bouncing from diet to diet? Are you tired of all the food rules? Are you tired of thinking about food all the time? The diet industry has confused us into conflating health with weight. It has sold us countless diets and told us countless rules that have thoroughly mixed up our relationship with food, with our bodies, and with health. Using well-worn systems of oppression, it has convinced us we need to conform to an impossible ideal, and that it is our fault when we inevitably fall short. If you’ve said to yourself, That’s it, no more diets, but find yourself at a loss as to what to do next, this book is for you. In Find Your Food Voice, I share exactly how to escape that well-worn path of shame and blame to defy diet culture, declare body liberation, and finally reclaim your peace. Use therapeutic diet recovery strategies and the principles of intuitive eating to find your innate food voice and finally ditch the diets for good. Reconnecting with your Food Voice is hard work and good work. It is messy and beautiful. It starts here.
