A little bit about BICC:

Bronx Independent Cinema Center (BICC) is a new 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the mission to bring an independent movie theater to the Bronx. This will be a space for us, by us here in The Bronx, a space to enjoy indie, art house, foreign and local films, and an educational space to train the next class of successful filmmakers. Imagine a multi-screen cinema center on the Grand Concourse, near Fordham Road.

About the Facilitator: Yesenia Quinones | Chase | VP.Community Manager

As a VP Community Manager at JPMorgan Chase & Co., I have over 20 years of experience in the banking industry, with a focus on providing financial health and empowerment to the low- and moderate-income (LMI) and underserved communities in the Bronx. I align my mission with the organization's commitment to advancing economic opportunity and racial equity for all, as a proud Bronx native, a Hunter College alumna, and a bilingual speaker of English and Spanish.
In my current role, I use my skills in banking, retail banking, and financial services to build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders, such as nonprofits, local businesses, government agencies, and media outlets. I also oversee the implementation and evaluation of various community programs and initiatives, such as financial education workshops, small business grants, affordable housing projects, and philanthropic partnerships. Together with my team, I have contributed to the success and impact of these programs, by increasing the financial inclusion, literacy, and resilience of the communities we serve.
