Financial Empowerment Program - [In-Person Fall 2026 Session]
About this Event
Tzedek DC, a nonprofit legal aid organization committed to promoting racial and economic justice, is proud to offer a free 8-week financial empowerment program for DC residents.
Note: This program is open to all adult DC residents (18+), as well as UDC students who are DMV residents.
The program provides a series of financial literacy workshops aimed at the specific needs of young adults like spending plans, debt, understanding your paycheck, building credit and investing. The program also offers individualized financial counseling sessions from experts and helps program participants set tailored financial plans and achievable goals. Program participants will be eligible to receive $100 in grant funding to start their investment journeys.
For eight weeks, this cohort will take place in-person from 5:00PM - 7:00PM on the following days at Tzedek DC's office (1100 New Jersey Avenue SE, Washington, DC 20003):
- Workshop 1: Tuesday, September 8th - @5-7pm
- Workshop 2: Tuesday, September 15th - @5-7pm
- Workshop 3: Tuesday, September 22nd - @5-7pm
- Workshop 4: Tuesday, September 29th - @5-7pm
- Workshop 5: Tuesday, October 6th - @5-7pm
- Workshop 6: Tuesday, October 13th - @5-7pm
- Workshop 7: Tuesday, October 20th - @5-7pm
- Workshop 8: Tuesday, October 27th - @5-7pm
