About this Event

Our highly anticipated and popular closing concert of the festival allows us to celebrate the most exciting current artists in a grand musical concert. This year we welcome visiting artists and headliner’s Axmed Cali Cigaal, Dalmar Yare, Hanad Bandz, Dahabo Ali Bogoreh (Geelo), and Ikran Houssien Mahabe. They will be joined on stage and supported by established Somali artists in an evening of popular music, including British-Somali Nuur Dalacay, Abdirahman Nasri, Farxiya Fiska, Maxamuud Cumar Yare, and more London artists.

Axmed Cali Cigaal is a famous Somali singer, actor, composer, and vocalist. He was one of the stars of Waaberi band who contributed a lot to the Somali music industry and culture. He was part of several famous plays, including as Shabeel Naagood and Yaxaas Dhaga Duub. He also founded “Somali Jazz”.

Dalmar Yare is a well-known musician in the Somali community. His music and songs are relevant to a broad variety of fans because of his soulful voice and strong lyrics, which have a deep sense of emotions and passion. Some of his most popular songs include ‘Dalxiis’, ‘Hobyo’, ‘Gacalo’, and more.

Hanad Bandz is a multifaceted Somali recording artist. Hanad’s music combines traditional African sounds with contemporary beats to create more distinctive sounds. Some of his popular songs include ‘Kale Tum’, ‘Mad Rich’, and ‘All My Life’.

Dahabo Ali Bogoreh, known by the nickname Geelo, is an exceptional Djiboutian artist who began her career as a musician in 1975. Over time, Geelo broadened her artistic field by becoming an actress in Djibouti films and on theatre boards.

Ikran HoussienMahabe is a singer-songwriter active since 1999 in the Ali Sabieh region of Djibouti. Recognizable by her undeniable talent and magical voice, she specializes in sentimental and cultural songs, bringing emotional depth and cultural richness to her interpretations.
