Filmonik is your monthly short film networking event and screening. And now it's even more special, on a rooftop in the CBD.Immediate, spontaneous, crafty, fun, inventive, weird and urgent films. Filmonik is open-screen and fiercely non-competitive with an audience hungry for comedies, drama, suspense, animation, docos, experimental, trash, action, and everything in between in generally equal doses. Short films are under 5 minutes for a fast-paced evening and space for quick QAs with the directors.
Door: $10 cash or Square.
$11 in advance on Eventbrite ($9.04+fees).

FILMMAKERS: It's open-screen / BYOfilm; bring on a USB drive your most recent film that you own all rights to with a running time of 5 min and we'll queue it. Limited screen availability and cutoff time 8:00pm. Best practice now is submitting in advance at https://filmonik.com.au/submit-your-film/ or announce to [email protected]. Spontaneously submitted short films of any genre and of all filmmaking levels have been creating awesome and balanced screenings for the public. A quick QA with the host follows each film.
