Filmmaking Workshop: Intro to Camera & Lighting

Are you new to the film industry and looking to get some hands on experience? Or just curious about how film kit and lighting works and want to give it a go?

Join us for this small group workshop to learn how to use industry-standard camera and lighting equipment. Over the course of an hour we will go over the basics of filming, learn about the reasons for using specific cameras or lights for a certain look, and put this into practice by filming and lighting a small scene.

The workshop will take you through how and why to use the following cameras:

• Sony A7S III
• Sony FX9
• Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 6K Pro
• DJI Ronin 4D

We will also use a variety of lighting equipment including Astera Titans.

The class is for up to 8 people total. Everyone will have a chance to use all of the equipment and ask questions throughout.

The workshop takes place in our soundproof film studio in West London.
