About this Event

CINÉRITUAL: DEAR ABYSS
A film screening + interactive ceremony
by Arianne Ayu Alizio + Mangda Sengvanhpheng

7th House Screenings is proud to welcome Film Spells a workshop and screening series for ciné-psychics , and BACII — a loss, grief, and healing organization — for a very special evening of transformative cinema ritual as they present DEAR ABYSS, a CINÉRITUAL!

DEAR ABYSS is an omnisensory, cinematic poem — a ritual journey through Death’s elemental realms. This experimental film explores cycles of death and renewal, inviting embodied integration amidst collective grief. Through image, sound, scent, and invocation, the theater becomes a space for transformation.

As the centerpiece of the ceremony, Arianne Ayu Alizio (Film Spells) and Mangda Sengvanhpheng's (BACII) short film Dear Abyss will be screened. The audience will not only witness, but participate. You'll be called to surrender to the Dear Abyss in real time through breath, memory, gesture, and written offering.

Your seat will hold simple spell ingredients to be activated throughout the screening. As we move through the film, you'll be guided to breathe, invoke, and remember — tracing our own passages of release and renewal, holding those we've lost and all we wish to cultivate. The ceremony will end with a cathartic procession from theater to courtyard, closing our circle under the night sky. Cross the threshold between cinema and ceremony, grief and creation, self and collective. Become a living film. A communal spell. ✦

TICKETS: $11.00 - $44.00 — Sliding Scale (In Person Event Only)
