JANE KACZMAREK — LEAD ACTRESS / EXECUTIVE PRODUCER BIOJane Frances Kaczmarek is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Malcolm's mother, Lois, on the Fox television sitcom MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE (2000–2006), which earned her three Golden Globe nominations and seven Primetime Emmy nominations. She also appeared as Linda in EQUAL JUSTICE (1990–1991), Judge Trudy in RAISING THE BAR (2008–2009), Ann in FALLING IN LOVE (1984), Emily in THE HEAVENLY KID (1985), and Gayle in 6 BALLOONS (2018). She had recurring roles as Holly in CYBILL and Maureen Cutler in FRASIER and is also known for many recurring and guest-starring roles in various television shows.

Kaczmarek has appeared on Broadway in Lost in Yonkers and in plays at the Manhattan Theatre Club, The Public, Second Stage, Long Wharf, New York Stage and Film, and the Berkshire and Williamstown Theatre Festivals. In LA, she recently appeared in Autumn Garden at Antaeus Theatre and has appeared in Kindertransport (Ovation Award Best Actress), Dinner With Friends, and Raised in Captivity (LA Drama Critics Award Featured Performance) at South Coast Repertory.

— WRITER/DIRECTOR BIORani DeMuth is a Carpinteria-based writer/director. Her feature script END OF THE LINE was selected for Film Independent’s Screenwriting Lab, Directing Lab, and Fast Track Finance Market, with Christina Sibul (THIRTEEN, MONICA) set to produce. Her films have screened at over fifty international festivals and won awards across all categories. She received LACMA’s first Art of Film Award for her short THE DOUBLE starring Eric Roberts, which sold to Shorts International. Her recent short, AND NOW I LAY ME DOWN, starring Jane Kaczmarek, premiered at the 2024 Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Rani is a Ryan Murphy HALF Initiative fellow and holds a BFA in painting and experimental film from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MFA from the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. She is a member of the Alliance of Women Directors and a classically trained pianist.
