This event is presented in partnership with the Consulate General of Mexico in Sacramento and the California Film Foundation.
This haunting and visually striking film follows Juan, a young man who fulfills his mother’s dying wish to find his estranged father in the remote town of Comala—only to discover a place populated by whispers and ghosts. As Juan unravels the truth about his family and the town’s eerie history, Pedro Páramo explores themes of memory, guilt, and the blurred lines between life and the afterlife.
