About this Event
Join us for a film screening by Voices Media, exploring the story of Clapton Community Football Club—a 100% fan-owned and fan-run club in East London.
This 30-minute documentary delves into their politics, community ethos, inclusive outlook, and how they’ve become a symbol of solidarity and hope for football fans and progressives alike.
Formed in 2018, Clapton Community FC stands as a powerful example of what football can achieve when driven by equity, transparency, and grassroots participation. From open-access training sessions to youth programs and partnerships with local and global causes, the club embodies the spirit of community activism and anti-fascism.
Stay for a post-screening discussion with the filmmaker and the club to dive deeper into how football can inspire change beyond the pitch.
